MoES Recruitment 2013 – Walk in for Project Scientist Posts

Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) invites applications for the post of Project Scientist. Eligible candidates may attend the walk in interview on 24-06-2013. More details like age limit, qualification, selection process are given below…

1. Project Scientist D: 02 posts
2. Project Scientist C: 06 posts
 
Age Limit: Candidates age should be below 40 years for post 1 & below 35 years for post 2 as on 24-06-2013. Age relaxations are allowed as per the rules.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Master’s Degree or equivalent in Meteorology/ Oceanography/ Atmospheric Science/ Physics/ Geophysics/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics from a recognized university or PhD or M.Tech in relevant fields.
Selection Process: Candidates are selected based on interview.
How to Apply: Interested candidates may attend the walk in interview with prescribed duly filled application form, originals as well as photocopies of all relevant certificates on 24-06-2013 at 10:00 AM at Ministry of Earth Sciences, Prithvi Bhavan, IMD Campus, Opposite India Habitat Center, and Lodi Road,New Delhi – 110003.

Registration Timings: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Ministry of Earth Sciences, ICMAM Project Directorate (ICMAM-PD) an attached Office of the Ministry of Earth Sciences has issued notification for the recruitment of 11 Project Scientist, JRF Posts. 1. Project Scientist – I (PS-I/CP&SM): 03 posts
2. Project Scientist – II (PS-II/CP&SM): 02 posts
3. Project Scientist – I (PS-I/PWQ): 01 post
4. Junior Research Fellow (JRF/PWQ): 01 post
5.  Project Scientist – I (PS1/Training): 02 posts
6. Project Scientist – I (PS-I/ESM): 01 Post
7. Project Scientist-I (PS-I/DB): 01 post
Age Limit: Candidates age must be 35 for Sr. No. 1, 3, 5 to 7 posts & 40 years for Sr. No. 2 posts.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Master’s Degree or equivalent in Oceanography/ Marine Science/ Earth Sciences/ Physics/ Mathematics/ Geology/ Environmental Science/ Remote Sensing/ Computer Science/ MCA/ related subjects and Two/ Three years research experience in relevant field for Sr. No. 1, 2 posts, M.Sc in Marine Sciences/ Chemistry/ Oceanography/ Biology for Sr. No. 3, 4, 6 & 7 posts, Masters degree in Oceanography/ Physics/ Geology/ Geography/ environmental sciences/ marine science/ Remote Sensing/ GIS or B.E/B.Tech. in Geo informatics/ Civil Engg / Computer Science or equivalent for Sr. No. 5 posts.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected through interview and trade test.
How to Apply: Candidates have to apply in prescribed format as shown in the notification. Fill the form, affix photograph, attach attested copies of age, educational qualifications, training and experience must be sent by super scribing on the envelope as “The Advt. No., Post No., Post Name and Discipline” to The Project Director, ICMAM-PD, Velachery – Tambaram Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai–600100, INDIA so as to reach on or before 20-05-2013.
Last Date for Receipt of Applications: 20-05-2013.
